I'm in NYC looking to get to Boston. My bus options are either Chicago or Los Angeles. I'd rather walk, thanks. Or maybe look for an alternative mode of transportation.

    You are not waiting for "the one" bus that might potentially be leaving the burning collapsing city you are trying to escape. You are getting the bus. And if there isn't one going somewhere where it's possible for humans to survive, you don't stay home and sulk - you take one to another burning collapsing building to die in.
