just apply. i know it feels like cumming into an empty void, but you’ll get something. If you’re really content where you’re at then that’s one thing but it doesn’t sound like you are. There’s engineering jobs out there that don’t require a degree and would love to have someone smort. IE geotechnical engineering technician, you can be outside all day, take it easy when on the job if you want to and get paid a bit more than if you work in retail ( I think? I dunno how much you get paid it pays 18 an hour on the lowest end in Maryland) and have the opportunity to move up into interesting stuff. There’s so many jobs out there.

Trust me when I say this as someone with a degree from a top school, a degree is not as important as anyone on the left seems to think it is.

I feel you. It's easy for me to say but I don't even follow the advice. I'd say constantly move on to new jobs but I don't know your situation. Maybe you live with good roommates, have easy going coworkers you enjoy being around, an easy commute, w/e. Slightly higher pay doesn't mean better so you do what feels right. But if you feel restrained by a lack prospects, i want to tell you you're probably capable of doing and acquiring jobs that pay you 3x what you're making.

        anyways sorry for being annoying.
