This should have been obvious because they are different words, but since we have people complaining that anything related to the US election should go in c/electoralism, it has become necessary to point this out.
Shitposting about Biden being a doo doo head is not electoralism. Electoralism in our context is attempting to bring about change using the existing institutions of a bourgeois democracy. The reason there's a sub for this is because not everyone thinks this is an effective tactic, not to protect the delicate sensibilities of everyone who doesn't want to hear about an election.
It's the response I keep getting from every anti-c/electoralism poster. They think it's about delicate sensibilities and not that this is literally a safe haven for a lot of us and it's nice to not have to be reminded of the American election every five fucking minutes
