God I fucking hate the whole "algorithm fetishism". Techbros circlejerk over how great algorithms are, when they lack any sort of context or understanding other than "ooh! this tweet is about trans people!!" It's the same shit that says "many people who watch Gaming videos also enjoy Joe Rogan and Ben Shapiro" and send people down radicalization pathways. And then when they get criticized the immediate response is "Well we didn't have to do anything with it, it trained itself" bullshit
Algorithms good because in a dialectical materialist way they're a potential eu-social technological advancement that could be used to help more evenly distribute workload in a socialist future. Algorithms bad though because the only people making them are techbro vampires and they're using them to more evenly strip us of our humanity and cash
