    it isn’t possible for the best ideas to get a fair hearing because the protest movement lacks firm roots in civil society organizations.

    This is why BLM needs to reform or form into insurgent grassroots community organizing/mutual aid with local political arms as well (even though electoralism in the US is a fuck, on a local level it can actually affect material conditions of people)

    Edit: Also the movement needs to begin examining the roots of the killings and injustice through a strongly class/material lens, which serves the dual purpose of attracting disenfranchised people across the race spectrum and focuses the struggle against the ruling class rather than allowing the right to weaponize racism to split the working/middle classes.
