A personal friend of him (who was also a councilmember in Rio de Janeiro for the trotskyst party his husband is a member of parliament for) was murdered by a right-wing death squad which has remarkebly close relations to the son of Bolsanaro. Another gay member of congres for the same party fled Brazil because of threats he received.
