To be fair, I never bothered to learn what the post-left is (something about Red Scare?) but this makes Black Mold Futures look coherent

The hilarious part about this I atleast am sure this is true for Aimee. Someone on Twitter awhile ago posted dozens of screenshots of her replies to chapo boys and she never got even a pity like back. Thus she became jokerfied but in the least cool way possible. Idk if you were joking but I actually believe it for Aimee at least

Honestly kind of feel bad for her. Well, at least the image of the person I have in my head. An alienated person desperately looking for an ideology and group of people to belong to but doesn't have the clarity of thought to know exactly who she is and what her actual opinions are.

She's been conditioned, and rightfully so, to think that right wing thought is morally repugnant but subconsciously she's not down with rights for ALL oppressed workers and deep down feels that her material benefits lie with right wing identity politics. The dirtbag left comes up and she thinks, finally, a movement for me but it turns our the chapo guys don't represent her true calling, the Nazbols. She thinks, surely, she can't be a fash? So she launches bizarre attacks on leftists by conflating them with liberals, the only way she can have her cake and eat it too.

I only feel bad for a moment, because her real heel turn will come any moment and she's going to be marching to the beat of whatever right wing grifter that manages to use marxist critiques of liberalism.

It's also true for Coffin, but replace Chapo with hbomberguy or shaun, they were pinning for that breadtube cred real bad and when their videos wouldn't fly like hbomb's or shaun's, they started calling breadtubers nothing short of double agents for capital spreading liberal propaganda through their evil youtube channels, even though Peter Coffin essentially does the same thing. i assume this latest fixation on contrapoints is temporary too.

sorry for double posting but it really did dawn on me that these weird postleft musings are all some sort of adolescent personal angst against the cool kids in the room being aired in the most obnoxious way possible. high school never ends it seems.

Yeah I usually only ever reply to Matt if I ever do and he usually pretty generous with the likes

The pre-2016 "post-left" was a loose grouping of nihilists, deep greens, accelerationists and primitivists.

The post-2016 "post-left" is rich contrarians who are sore losers over Bernie and decided it's time to become Tucker Carlson and oppose the vaccines

        accelerationists

Like Land-style accelerationists? Or actual Left-Accelerationists? Because I don't think the second would agree that they are post-left.

Yes Land-style, or at least his earlier work.

I will say, they are at least interesting. Deep Greens on the other hand are the most unpleasant people I have ever encountered.

I was presuming you meant early Land, since later Land is incoherent at best.

Never really dealt with Deep Greens, but I do find their fundamental rejection of anthropocentrism to be ultimately self-limiting, particularly under the circumstances. We'll be lucky to get humans to decide not destroying their own ability to live is a good idea at this point.

the latter definition should be done away with as much as possible. It does not describe anything coherent or useful to radical politics. the former should be revived (if not necessarily adopted in all its particulars), because it constitutes a genuinely new theoretical tradition (however much its adherents would want to deny it). :anarchy-a-white:

Disagree, both should dwindle in obscurity as irrelevant
