The thing that made r/CTH so good at keeping out the fascists was that we abused them into dust. It's a good way to offload community anger, a fun testbed for insults, and an ethical human zoo. Banning them when they start going monkey with the slurs is appropriate because it'd get anyone banned, but until that point I think it would make a more effective deterrent if they know they'll feel horrible after posting here.

To be fair, mods have been good about letting us dunk for like a few hours until they snap into the "my only response is using slurs" territory.

We get them to display their marketplace if ideas until we pull down the Potemkin walls and reveal the Nazi standing behind the facade.

I haven't deep-dived into the individual comments of each of the chud wreckers to know where they're drawing the line, but it's been handled pretty well so far. As long as we get that period of swarming them like vultures to pick their bones clean of potential bits, I don't care what happens to the bones.
