Yes, we’re holding an extra movie night this week, because ‘tis the season, and the people have demanded the beloved claymation classic Chicken Run. In the first film, Chicken Run (2000), directed by Nick Park and Peter Lord of Wallace & Gromit fame, chickens on a Br*tish farm discover class solidarity and decide to escape before they are slaughtered. Then, in the sequel, Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget (2023), made with only minimal involvement from Park and Lord, the chickens find themselves on an island paradise that isn’t so idyllic after all, because it contains more things that want to kill chickens. Looks fun.
