Are you on any medications for your covid? It's probably safe, but if you're concerned, make half your usual cup and then wait an hour and see how you feel before having any more?

I haven't had covid yet, but when I had mono, coffee was miserable (probably because I was also on prednisone)

      That makes sense.

Caffeine is a dietetic too. You could lose electrolyte salts through extra urination. You need salts to retain water. And you need good hydration when you’re sick.

I would watch your heart rate. Covid kept mine abnormally elevated and, while a bit of caffeine probably wouldn't be the end of the world, long covid is enough of a wildcard that I would just take it easy for a while.

Personally, I would avoid it but if you drink coffee regularly and get withdrawal symptoms that are too bad to cope with then just have enough to make them go away.

Caffeine (like other stimulants) elevates levels of cortisol and adrenaline in the body which have an immunosuppressive effect and so could make it harder for your immune system to fight the virus. Not to mention covid is so stressful for the body in general already you probably shouldn't add to it with stimulants.

But tbh it probably doesn't matter all that much especially if you already have tolerance so don't worry about it too much

Hope you feel better soon <3

    Covid fucking sucks

A coworker developed extreme caffeine sensitivity after covid. To where a cup of coffee would keep them up for days, cause dizziness and headaches and other wierd shit. In their case It probably has something to do with covid causing abnormal liver function and being unable to process caffiene normally.

I don't know if drinking coffee with covid would affect that outcome one way or the other, but I would keep it to a minimum. Maybe drink it slowly in case it starts causing discomfort. Covid can do some weird shit to your heartrate and blood pressure.

Idk if it was lack of caffeine or having COVID but I've had a wicked fucking headache from Sunday up until this morning. I've been taking daytime cold meds and it dulls it some but not a lot.

I def wanted to wait until I started to feel better before I had caffeine. Today feels more like a head cold and I think I'm finally in recovery. But like I went straight to energy drink like a psycho so maybe don't take my advice lol.

In my recent experience, withdrawal from mostly-energy drink consumption isn't nearly as bad as withdrawal from mostly-coffee consumption, and neither feels like the headache I have right now

I guess at least this confirms that mine was, in fact, covid related. I mean if you are implying you also have it right now. It sucks.

I thought just had a cold at first but that was after a negative COVID test. I retested after my wife tested positive and I started feeling bad again and I was positive. Maybe test just to make sure?

If it's not related to congestion in sinuses, or caffeine withdrawal, it might be high blood pressure. I don't know of any quick treatment for that other than maybe aspirin.
