Well it's not just lungs. There's cognitive effects and things like that.
Oh sure - but I had an otherwise relatively asymptomatic case of Covid (only other symptom was 'Covid Toes') and suffered brain fog for months. No coughing, no shortness of breath, not even the sniffles. There's others who's first symptom is loss of taste/smell. Those sorts of symptoms are neurological if I remember correctly.
Neurological or constricted blood vessels within the nose. Either way it sucks shit!
Having diminished lung capacity or permanent mental fog have been my biggest fears since the pandemic started.
what do you mean by life support? like oxygen masks, or ventilator?
If what I truly had was covid, which I think I did. I am so legitimately thankful for the vaccine. I had flu symptoms and fatigue but my mental clarity has not gone away, which is important given the kind of work I do!
Long covid has been one of my biggest fears of all of this. That permanent brain fog sounds… life ruining.
Was infected in February 2020. I have no idea what internal damage I may or may not have. Guess I'll eventually find out.
