And received a bunch of job postings for oil and gas companies. I guess uh...technically envrionmental science? They certainly do a lot to change and impact the weather! But what a gross fucking world where someone interested in environmental science goes looking for a job and instead is hit with a bunch of oil and gas companies. Even at best those jobs do environmental impact studies which are then promptly minimized or ignored. Capitalism is the worst

Had a friend that went to school for Geology and said her class mates were regularly courted by oil companies.
Yup. My friend graduated and then went to work for Big Carbon. Unsurprisingly his politics became increasingly awful, and I eventually dropped him from my life.
Google is becoming a dead mall. Not saying the situation is wine and roses, but you can't get an accurate picture of reality from Google given how much money is being paid to skew the results.
From what I hear, most of your classmates will be working to convince the government that this environmentally damaging project is actually safe to do and the company should get the approval to move forward
Same deal with mechanical engineering and the military-industrial complex.
