My lib mom sent me that NYT end-of-year quiz where you have to identify figures in the news by typing in their name given just a photo and I was shocked that Nikki Haley was recognized by 92% of readers, beating DeSantis by 5 percentage points.

I don't know how people memorize the pop stars and actors and shit. Sure if it's someone I'm really into maybe I will remember their name, but most of the time it's either "hey didn't they play x in y" or no recognition at all because they often look so different on screen vs as people irl
