Edit:
We are back:
Please refer here for more info regarding the .19 changelog https://join-lemmy.org/news/2023-12-15_-Lemmy_Release_v0.19.0-_Instance_blocking,_Scaled_sort,_and_Federation_Queue
Sorry for logging you out and If you have issues logging in, please clear your "Hexbear" cookie and attempt logging in again.
Edit:
Initially we had planned to upgrade both Lemmy & pictrs. Instead we are just going to upgrade Lemmy, meaning the downtime should only last two hours.
Hexbear will be down this Sunday while our devs and infrastructure people upgrade the site to Lemmy version 0.19.1. The downtime is expected to take roughly between 8 and 12 hours. 2 hours.
During this time Hexbear will be inaccessible. Please follow our account on Mastodon for updates: https://toots.matapacos.dog/@hexbear
Other Hexbear services such as Hexbear Live will be unaffected, so consider hanging out there! https://live.hexbear.net

Maybe edit the pinned post title so people see this message about clearing cookies? It's awfully quiet here.

fwiw clearing cookies in chrome (debian) doesn't work, neither does clearing cookies in chrome (android)
only way I was able to get logged in was to use a different browser on the desktop that I had never logged in to hexbear with before
works fine on chrome for me. I deleted the cookie using EditThisCookie extension and then logged in
Thanks for the tip, for some reason the default cookie deletion in chrome doesn't work but that extension did
Same issue with firefox, used the addon and it worked.
I had to login using Firefox as clearing all my cookies didn't help in Chrome. I tried this extension but it looks like it's for desktop only. Is there a solution for Chrome on mobile?
EDIT: I am not a thorough person, fixed after I cleared for all time instead of the default one week.
I got it to work by deleting all site data on Chrome android
Just jumping in to the top comment to say that on Chrome desktop you can punch this
Into the browser bar to delete cookies from specific websites.
I haven't tried it on mobile yet.EDIT: Doesn't work on Chrome mobile, you have to into Settings -> Site settings (scroll down, it's in the Advanced category) -> All sites, and then scroll down to find Hexbear.net
That worked for me, thanks
On Fennec just check cookies, tabs, and cache in the delete browsing data options menu
thank you for your work comrades ☭ one step closer to the revolution ✊
The Revolution is exactly 12 lemmy updates away, trust me I ran the numbers through the historical materialism calculator (I played a game of Vicky 3) and that's what it came up with.
