the difference is in Skyrim you can be 1 dude who fucks up a village. in paradox games you can LITERALLY BE THE NAZIS and win ww2
because skyrim is about 1 guy fighting dragons in a fantasy land, it really doesn't translate as directly into fascism. Actual nazis in actual europe winning the actual second world war is entirely different. No matter how evil you are in skyrim, the main community jokes will be about nazeem and the cloud district or funny ai mistakes, and the discussion will be about how to best complete a certain quest or the best build for a dungeon. The memes in HoI4 are about fascists taking over and the discussion is about how to effectively subjugate europe.
I kinda think anyone who is playing historical grand strategy is prone to be in some sort of weird political/history fandom. And that said, any game that has NAZI GERMANY as a playable country is gonna attract Nazis.
