Is the Evergrande collapse something I should be worried about? Is it going to trigger another global financial crisis?
luckily with the economy now entirely decoupled from the financial realities of normal people I can rest assured I will be unaffected by this
wat the fuck is the evergrande collapse. seems like there's a new collapse every day.
I guess we're about to see just how interlinked our economies are. Neat.
those 1,5 Million people are located in China while the Debth is located in US Banks you say ? (oh how i dont understand finacial stuff)
What does their defaulting mean for Chinese homeowners? I know there’s a much larger percent of homeownership there than in the US
So if all this shit blows up, American banks will be left holding the bag?
I'm 100% certain that this Evergrande stuff is being overhyped by western news sources, possibly because they know that we're overdue for a cyclical crash and are setting the stage to be able to blame that on China too.
And even if China decides to just let the company default and not take any steps to ease economic effects of it, it not like you worrying or not worrying will in any way change the way that event effects your life - so chill :grill: :xi-lib-tears:
Well it's clear the people in charge of the US don't care about human casualties. The battlefield has to be somewhere that hurts them.
Well, landlords are leeches, not humans, so maybe start moving some casualties into that realm
It doesn't seem like we're fucked but we're amazingly fucked, we're going from great depression larping to everyone wearing clothes made out of old shoes. Your head will spin, I'll go blind on bathtub gin
Turns out the Lonesome Crowded West was a little ahead of its time
Honestly the US will probably fair pretty well as far as "developed countries" go. That doesnt mean things will be great, but the EU and their dependencies are turbo fucked.
