I read the post, and while the suits probably should be more sturdy than they appear to be, taking the controls away from non-qualified people is probably for the best. You don't want some millionaire failson trying to play kerbal space program in flight. Remember Musk just takes credit for the work of his engineers, he isn't like, doing the math for the launches and bullshitting his way through it.
