Every barber in every barbershop I've ever been to tends to be, for lack of a better description, a bit of a neat-freak obsessive. Obviously you want to have a clean and tidy place of business (even before COVID), and I cannot imagine someone setting up shop in a carpeted unit. This also breaks down when you ask "how did they install barber chairs in carpet?"
