"Have you tried... not thinking of skeletons?" My therapist asks.

    I look at her.

I look at the skeleton inside her trying to trick me.

The They Live glasses but they’re just X-ray goggles so you can see the skeltals

How dare you celebrate your harvest season holidays which are meant to help us psychologically cope with Death's place in nature and the coming winter. Don't you know there are people out there trying to cope with their dead?

Even when I cope with the death of loved ones, I don't want the world to stop for me. It literally never crossed my mind. YOU can't decorate for Halloween because I'M sad is a bizzaro-world take. I extra-hate this. This woman will punish her children when she finds out they're hiding chipotle mayo in their room because dinner is too bland. How dare you expose me to nonsense from twitter dot com, adolescentrefusesack? Don't you know some of us are trying to get more content from TikTok?

There's a brutal takedown thread on Oates...

Remember your short story "Landfill," the one about a boy who fell down a garbage chute? The one based off the recent and actual death of a college student, who went to school just down the road from your home? You sure had a lot of empathy for his family's grief, didn't you?
