I've got access to hbo and I'm thinking about watching Chernobyl. Will I be able to watch it, or am I gonna hear some really stupid take in the first few minutes and have to turn it off?
Edit: I watched The Brest Fortress. https://youtu.be/lw3mDJ0qdp0 Excellent, but very sad.
Chernobyl has some really good moments, it's just mixed. For instance they show how radically useful things like central planning are to solve a large problem. They show that life in a soviet city was pretty nice and normal. They show how empowered workers in important sectors were.
So it's not all bad, and a lot of the details are very accurate. And if you don't know a lot about nuclear energy it's also quite educational.
