Who can live like that? having to bend over and open a door every time you want to throw away a wrapper. And then what do you do when you need to toss a pizza box or something?

Everything in America uses so much packaging. You will literally generate a pound of trash cooking a meal if you don't deliberately try and buy stuff with less packaging.

Grocery stores in the US aren't that different from Canada. It's pretty easy to not buy a ton of packaging with food. Like do they really need a special bag to put five potatoes in?

They can't blame everything on their shitty country - they can actually choose not to buy things with unnecessary packaging.
