"Labor creates all value but not in my case" KILL ME

When he started talking about foreign interventions and stuff it became okay.

Please, please, please, I am begging people to stop expecting these twitch streamers to be good. They're bad, folks, they don't know what they're talking about.

they don’t know what they’re talking about.

Truly. I want Hasan to have a conversation with Richard Wolff or someone so that he can get his confusions sorted out.

He's great for funneling people towards us, but I'm not expecting Hasan to lead the vanguard. I wish he did some more IRL work as well.

I mean, yeah, dude is a millionaire twitch streamer -how much of an understanding of Marxism are you expecting from him?

Keep in mind he's the nephew of Cenk Uygur and was working at TYT until like last year. Im not saying he's some kind of ghoul but he's not the second coming of Engels

Yeah, he's always been the good kind of class traitor, but he's got his own brain worms like the rest of us.

this dude linked a two hour livestream, while it was still live, and said "Yeah, some podcaster and streamer said something stupid somewhere in this"

Ethan sounds like a very nice SocDem who needs someone like Richard Wolff to gently show him why even his "nice capitalism" is flawed and awful.

H3H3? Aren't they reactionary as hell, and Zionists to boot?

Edit: to be clear, the reason I brought up Zionism here is I clearly recall them both seeming pretty proud of Hila serving in the IDF.

Edit 2: I am glad to say I'm mostly incorrect on both points. It seems they've moved away from their more reactionary base, and Ethan has since spoken about his disgust with the Israeli government - though it's still a Zionist stance, just a very moderate one.

Yeah, they used to attract really reactionary shitheads but I think they themselves became disgusted by their base and have really pivoted recently.

I mean, the fact that he has a show with Hasan speaks volumes. Though, they probably are about as Zionist as any other SocDem.

I recall Hila served in the IDF and they both seemed pretty proud of that, which is why I brought it up. If they've moved away from the more reactionary elements of their base, all the better for them, though.

Which is why I wished Hasan was able to explain to Ethan what was wrong with his "humane capitalism" :deeper-sadness:

Huh, thanks for the update. I guess their position has changed since the IDF thing I was talking about from a few years ago. At this point, it's a better stance than most liberals, though still Zionist. Good for them, I guess.

Huh?? I dont have time to watch it right now but that doesnt sound like something Hasan would say. What context are we missing?

It stems from his misunderstanding of his own work and commodification (which has been becoming more apparent the more he talks about it). It's just one quote from the whole stream (of which about half an hour is socialism vs welfare capitalism).
