excited Paul Giamatti face: (radlibs are vaguely attributing capitalism to third world people being malnourished)
disappointed Paul Giamatti face: (the imperial core lacks solidarity to study the material conditions of malnutrition, which is exacerbated in the global south by their exploitative imperialism and colonialism. The Monsanto style industrial praxis of destroying all the "pests" in soil has contributed to the degradation of farmland. These labor aristocrats are literally cheering for the sterilization of earth so they can buy cheap winter fruits in their supermarkets, at the expense of the periphery's malnutrition and famine.)
The idea that "soil should be healthy and full of life, not sterile and degraded" is literally unthinkable to the Fully Automated Luxury Space Communism technocrat cult. :melon-musk:
#1. Eat bugs
#2. Shit in a field
#3. Collect bugs from newly healthy field
Infinite organic matter cheat

Crop rotation and native specie cultivation aren't radically new ideas, nor are they somehow divorced from advances in science and technology.
This isn't a technocratic cult problem its short term pursuit of profits problem.
China will continue to propagate its political ideology outward as more and more localities collapse under the capitalist laissez-faire production model.
Americans will call this imperialism, but will do little to disrupt it thanks to consumption from within by its own internal contradictions.
USSR pulled this trick once and disrupted the imperial game for decades. China set to do it again, but on a firmer and broader economic foundation.
The USSR collapsed without setting off a nuclear exchange. The UK collapse is happening without any serious concern of some Tory hitting the Big Red Button. The only instance in which nukes were actually employed involved accelerating the collapse of a rival power. They aren't very useful as defensive weapons, and the rules of MAD only become more pronounced as you lose political capital. Relatively few people in power are crazy enough to believe they'd be insulated against a nuclear exchange.
I swear to god if I put up with working and dealing with life’s bullshit all this time just to have Donald Trump bring about nuclear apocalypse in his second term I’m gonna be pissed.
Trump definitely illustrated the real limits of what a President can accomplish. He slapped every button on his desk, but only a few really did anything.

Yet
"I respectfully submit to Mr. Johnson that while it would be more prudent to nuke the Poles, such an endeavor has not been adequately accounted in the annual budget. Where would we even find a dully qualified individual to... uh... err... eh... push the button? I submit that the Respected Prime Minister has yet to even consider that question, grumble grumble."
I’m down to eat bugs if we can make it not look like bugs and call it something else. Like how we eat beef, not cow. I’d eat bugs mushed into a tofu-like block called crestin. I just made up a name, call it anything non buggy. I could even get behind Cricket Nuggets if we made it like a paste.
I can’t eat a lot of carbs, but I’d be down to try some Cricket Cake.
I've had fried crickets before when I was living overseas (they have them instead of popcorn at the movie theatres in many South-East Asian countries) I don't mind the taste (actually pretty good, kind of a peanut-y taste), my only issue was the legs getting stuck in my teeth, so ground into a paste is definitely preferable. Cricket flour is available online for you to make your own bread, cookies, etc. with it. I've also heard good things about black soldier fly larvae.
crickets are tasty. like tiny shrimp. u are right about the legs though I'd be down for a legless cricket body. maybe we can develop a leg removal process for our bug eating future tech.
5/10 on the :jesse-wtf: scale, seems to have an aura of a point, although it takes multiple reads to comprehend
:stalin-pipe: who is saying these things on chapo.chat in the same breath, comrade?
Bugs are fine and have been eaten by indigenous people for centuries.
