Eisner Award-winning writer and artist Michael Kupperman will speak with journalist Virgil Texas about his graphic memoir, “All the Answers.” In it, he tells the story of his famous father, a child prodigy on the TV show “Quiz Kids.”
Did Amber leave the show or is that just for the meme?
Officially, she's on sabbatical and writing a book. Looks like Virgil went the same route after he gave up on Bad Faith.
They were the two people most heavily invested in electoralism, so I imagine a big part of this was just burnout and recovery. I have no idea if Amber actually earns money from the show right now. But she hasn't officially left it as far as I'm aware. She was back on the 9/30 episode to review Cry Macho.

Has Virgil left Bad Faith officially. I never listened to it. I get why he has to go away, but I did used to like him as a commentator.
He hasn't been on a show in months. I gave up on it a while back, because it really isn't the same with just Brie doing her thing and no regular to drag her back down to Earth. Have to assume he's either in hiding or he's off the show.
Everything you need to know about the modern Succ is Brie screaming at the top of her lungs about "Force the Vote" while her co-host gets sucked into the right-wing meat grinder without giving him so much as a backwards glance.
Yeah I wouldn't even consider watching it without Virgil. They're good together and I think they push each other into a much stronger, more focused socialist mindset. But Brie alone just doesn't sound like a good time.
Edit: And to clarify, I probably wouldn't watch just Virgil rambling alone or with some lib guest either. Idk why it worked so well with the two of them, but it did.
One of the reasons I was never a huge fan of "Beltway Garage".
I think that, early on, Virgil got to play this kind-of naive outsider voice to black politics. And so he got to voice some of the confusion that a lot of white leftist dudes have on subjects related to race and the political stack in black cities and districts. He tended to have a light touch, particularly during the interviews. But he also got to ask the dumb-guy outsider question that made understanding the various contradictions and conflicts within older traditional democratic political blocks easier.
His warm-up banter with Brie also made them both seem more human and more relatable. Really, every Podcast needs costars, because the whole medium is about having a dialogue. Virgil was also pretty good about bringing in guys like Chompsky and Wolfe to get the White Leftist Academic take on politics and let Brie provider her outsider perspective in turn.
It was generally just a nice Odd Couple vibe.
I don't know if there was much she could've done if he just decided to fall off the face of the planet for the second time within 12 months, especially with the allegations
The first time he "fell off" was when he was actively working with Brie to do the Bad Faith podcast.
The second time, it was entirely due to the sketchy allegations.
