How long has this thing been out now?
What's the difference between the new steamdeck and those steamboxes they were trying to sell over 5 years ago?
They went and produced a dedicated hardware platform, it's not just a Mini ITX PC. I give it 3 years like the Steam Controller.
You see, communism was inefficient because you had to be on a waiting list if you wanted a car, unlike in capitalism.
Honestly surprised Google isn't trying to pump life back into Stadia from the back of this hardware drought. You would think now would be the moment for Virtual Gaming to really lift off. Why spend $800 up front for a box that does ray tracing when you can just RDP to a server farm that does the same thing for $15/mo?
fuck breadlines, I demand the FREEDOM to ... purchase a spot on a waitlist for bread
I never understood how people can talk shit about bread lines and praise food pantries
it's pretty wild that US conservatives have successfully managed to demonize feeding the hungry
Deathloop, which is also on pc. ratchet and clank which was fine, but not life changing, returnal, which is fine but not life changing, kena, which is good but very short and a first game from the studio, um....
At this point I really just want so I can use some 4k blurays and play the Demon's Souls remake. I don't think they're ever going to make any games for the fucking thing
Reminded of buying the original XBox back in the early '00s and nicknaming it my Halo Playing Machine, because we went a good two or three years before seeing a better title.
They've also been heavily impacted by covid.
Gran Turismo is coming soon™ apparently. With ray tracing and cool shit. That's about all I care about. But I definitely can't afford a PS5 lol
It depends. Forza has basically split in two, with the Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsport series. Horizon is more of an arcade game, and Motorsport is aimed at more simulation fans like Gran Turismo.
Gran Turismo's direct competition, Forxa Motorsport, is actually pretty dead, and Gran Turismo is much more relevant there. But Forza Horizon is pretty much the most popular of all racing games right now, as an arcade game will always be more popular than a more simulation focused game like Gran Turismo. (Even if GT is not the most accurate)
The new OLED model is just as impossible to get and is also barely an upgrade.
The Switch was harder to find last year
The OLED is all sold out, and if a Switch 2 came out today it would be literally impossible to find. The Switch is one of the best selling consoles around, if you see one in shelves it is because a lot of the people who might want one already have it
There is speculation that Nintendo didn't release an upgraded Switch reason because of the supply issues. Might as well hold back and do it later
I still want one. Let me have some bourgeois video game decadence goddamnit!
But seriously yeah, just lmao
Despite this it is selling better than the PS4 at launch
