May have just got back from something like this I'll never tell :im-vegan:
It turned out pretty well! I used this recipe and mostly liked it. I made a few changes. I added some cumin for more of a nacho taste and jalapeno to make it spicier. I probably should have added the optional cayenne powder as well bc the jalapeno was small and didn't do as much as I thought it would lol.
I know @PurrLure made it and she used more nutritional yeast than it called for and played around with it too, so maybe she could offer some insight. It was more of a cheese related sauce than a cheese taste imo (but still good)
@infuziSporg , if you're interested in the "cheese" sauce I'd recommend giving the original recipe a go and then modifying it after you've tasted a sample while it's still in the blender/processor. It lasted me well over a week as a single eater and didn't go bad.
Looking back, I think I should have added more spice like sriracha sauce and little jalapeno slices to give it more kick, but I ultimately flavored it according to my preferences. I don't regret doubling the nooch, and later on I melted some vegan cheese shreds and fake bac'n bits into my leftovers that made it taste amazing.
nooch nooch :pingu-horny:
(there is no generic pingu or "hungry" emote)
