    He's running :dem:

No, seriously, Democrats bitching because they got exactly the kind of party they wanted and voted for will never not be funny to me

They're still falling for it too. All this talk of voting for more moderate Dems so they can ignore these two, as though that will make things better lul

:biden-troll: I see you. I hear you. The only way to end Joe Manchin's reign of terror over the Democratic Party is to elect 2 more Joe Manchins, so we are no longer beholden to Joe Manchin.

        :maybe-later-kiddo: Makes sense to me!

Funniest thing is, if they passed even the most milquetoast social safety net bill that, say, increased unemployment payments permanently, made a few tepid worker's rights advancements like mandating maternity leave, sick leave, increased minimum wage...

They'd have a mandate for a decade, and immediately yank back many of the people that are going to the left

          But they won't

They wouldn't have shit because there would be a massive Capital strike in retaliation and a big recession.

The Democrats and all their Capitalist friends know exactly what happens when you increase the safety net. Workers are too uppity as it is, and the longer that the labor shortage and the strike wave is in the news, the more they're gonna nerf any additional spending.

This bill is not happening. They don't want it to happen. They want to pass the corp hand out that is the infrastructure bill and move on.

Any one else find it interesting the focus on mancin? You could say it's sexism. But i think the elites know if they let sienema get to much attention that her district one type attitude may make people feel violent where as mancin just makes people apathetic.

The focus is on Manchin because he talks to the press whereas Senator Theater has been (to my knowledge) not commenting much, if at all, on these bills.

Like here's Joe in front of cameras with mics in his face, whereas this weekend Sinema went to a wedding and then spoke thru aides about how she didn't talk to wedding guests with offensive costumes.

The social spending bill is a corp handout as well.

Who do you think all the money is going to for the climate change provisions?

It's all hand outs. But the recon be was basically stripped of what was not hand outs to corps

I think they're not peddling her around for this exact reason. Sinema gets people viscerally angry while Manchin is just ho-hum and people kick the dirt and walk away.

I had r/politics lib lecture me on throwing shade on Manchin for voting to confirm Kavanaugh. They said something along the lines of "You lefties are not sophisticated enough to comprehend strategic voting? He was always going to vote opposite of Susan Collins. When it comes to the important shit, he votes with dems." I wish I still had that account so I could get a response to this shitshow.

The bill will be negotiated down to $1 billion by the time the democrats lose congress. It will then be negotiated back up to $5 trillion in corporate handouts and pass within a month.

I’m still baffled that they haven’t pushed the line it’s 300 billion dollar bill, it’s completely silly that stuff that’s good gets 10 year treatment, while one time 6 trillion injections are somehow fine

Well, they don't want it to pass, they want to bash it to death with rocks while trying to appear as though they support it.
