Captain Falcão tells the story of a Portuguese superhero serving António de Oliveira Salazar in the fight against the communist "red menace" during the 1960s, mercilessly satirizing both the anti-communist propaganda of the Estado Novo and the left-leaning politics of the Armed Forces Movement.

Is that actually true? Do they both-sides it?

No? The villains are very obviously the good guys and one of Falcao's friends dies while cursing him and his political views. There's also a scene where a commie-ninja threatens his family so he slaps his son and punishes him without dinner for losing his cool before resuming the fight.

I mean, there's also a scene where a commie mage uses his commie rays to turn regular folks into communists, it satirizes everyone but it's clear who are the bad guys (the fascists).

Oh, OK, good to know thanks. That's all that the Wikipedia page said about it, so I was worried for a second.
