I fucked up and hit a D8 pen yesterday. I have a saliva test on Thursday. I’m getting mixed search results on how long it can detect, so any advice on beating it is greatly appreciated
unless they've gotten more advanced, saliva tests typically can only detect weed for a few days. drink lots of water and use mouthwash before the test, I would recommend against vigorously brushing the day of - but the days before is probably helpful. I passed one once and had smoked a few days previous.
take a big swig of water and swish it around as close to test time as possible. Try not to sweat it too much, I think you'll probably be fine unless you've been smoking heavily / regularly.
Granted this was almost 20 years ago but I worked with a guy that got mouth swabbed like 12 hours after smoking when he had a work accident and never heard anything about it. The first one I did was less than a week after 4/20 when some friends had tried to recreate a Cheech and Chong blunt that they put half an oz into.
From my experience mouth swabs are very hard to fail if you aren't visibly high when you take them, a 72 hour period should be fine. I think worst case it might show inconclusive results and they would just ask you to retake it.
I put an ice cube in my mouth and held it next to the swab. Eventually worked after two inconclusive tests.
I've passed them after smoking weed the day before, it's the cheapest, least reliable form of drug testing. Unless you are under the influence of what ever substance when you take the test, it probably won't show up. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
