America is the worst
Uhh... Let's be clear
Russia and China, they, uh, have not had several towns ban the use of plastic bags at their grocery stores, which as we all know, is the highest form of caring about the environment
Uhh...Let me be clear
Banning plastic straws will save the world :obama-drone:
Nooooo :le-pol-face: :libs-owned:
Deep state subsidy turf war between the oil industry and the timber industry.
“You wouldn’t always know it ,but it went up every year I was president,” he said to applause. “That whole, suddenly America’s like the biggest oil producer and the biggest gas that was me, people.”
You could plausibly argue that Obama and Biden have literally worst environmental record of any government officials in the history of the world.
When hasn’t it been when your supposed to be the understander above the unwashed masses?
The Pentagon was publishing reports about how climate change would force them to make changes such as base locations as well as general geopolitical destabilization etc. I remember my dumb lib ass was like "that'll convince the Republicans to get their heads out of their asses, da troops are saying climate change is real!"
Stupid lib hopes and dreams made me into the bitter cynical bastard I am.
I think this undersells the impact Bush's Iraq War had on the climate. Not to mention the $25k credit for Hummers or the way his administration aggressively undercut mass transit.
But yeah. Race To The Bottom.
Obama was never president. Obama will always be president. Obama transcends the flow of time; he is light itself.
Wasn't China the only country to meet the international climate goals?
Obama: "I showed how seriously I took the issue and I demonstrated a sense of urgency by giving speeches that benefited my legacy. But I didn't do anything other than getting a bunch of nations to sign a gentleman's agreement. Still - I've gotta ask - could I have a second Nobel Peace Prize?..."
Reminder that China is a net climate creditor.

Good. It means that they've emitted less than their "fair share" within the emissions threshold for climate change, meaning that they've effectively credited carbon "space" in the atmosphere to over-emitting countries like the US. Their relative lack of emissions has soaked up some of the excess emissions (beyond their "fair share") of the imperial core nations. Like, if you divide up the total amount of sustainable emissions prior to this point by global population, their per capita emissions have been less than they could have been without causing climate change. This is true of the whole global south, but contrary to claims made by Western imperialists like the US, it is also true of China.
The implication of this is that imperialist nations like the US:
- bear the brunt of the responsibility for cutting emissions, and
- owe creditor countries like China for the carbon debt they've accrued
