I want to follow up on this comment for prospective buyers -- that Holosun is also widely seen as having extremely good quality for the money. Usually going cheap on an optic is not a good idea, but Holosun have been shaking things up with their offerings. E.g. the 407c/507c is a direct competitor to the Trijicon RMR which is considered the gold standard pistol optics (even uses the same mounting and recoil lug footprint). Trijicon actually filed a suit against Holosun, citing something about the brightness buttons (thus the "507C-X2" with different button layout), but I think it was really motivated by Holosun biting into their market share.
As far as I know non-western manufactured weapons are treated the same as any others except they're often used so you sometimes have to do a transfer of ownership or some kind of consignment arrangement instead of just buying them directly from a dealer. Idk about gun shows, just check your local laws
I think Remington was to be sold to the Navajo Nation, but I'm not sure what's currently happening with that. If true, it seems like it would be a good option vs other manufacturers, unless there's something problematic I'm missing.
Locate your local Socialist Rifle Association and ask them what the options are.
The best you'll probably find will be some shitlib manufacturers.
If you're in Canada, buy norinco weapons, plenty of old Chinese SKS for 300 dollars and the type 97 is the cheapest 5.56 semi auto that doesn't suck. You'll need an RPAL for pistols but tokarevs and p226 clones are even cheaper.

Literally every gun shop lol. I don't want to list my local gunstores because opsec (even though the feds probably know if they actually cared) but you should be able to find them just about at any store that doesn't focus on antiques only. And yeah they're everywhere and not banned (yet, rip norinco m14 clone that was better than the Springfield version in every way).

I definitely want to get into printed guns, it's just a little daunting to try to make decisions, like, what's a good printer that actually works out of the box, good filament, decent metal parts, etc.
Building a polymer 80 is a good first step before you 3d print.
Not sure about the political alignment of all these channels, but there's a lot of good content on youtube for that. Print Shoot Repeat is probably my current favorite, and has a lot of good general info. Hoffman Tactical has more detailed info on the actual printing and assembly, including filaments, techniques, etc. There's also a lot of pretty great general 3D printing on youtube. CNC Kitchen and Thomas Sanladerer are my 2 faves.
Related, we should discuss this kind of stuff on /c/diy more. That comm doesn't get enough love and would be perfect for this kind of thing.

They're still weapons manufactured by chud companies because that is the nature of the market unfortunately, but at least the middleman isn't a chud.

There's an old thread somewhere with 3d printing files for ar-15 lowers. The pattern includes some ideologically confused side plates. Oh well, of course libertarians would be the ones to design such a thing
