Listen, I'm the last guy who is allowed to criticize AI Art. Having a website that can do high res art of whatever D&D character I can dream up
illustrates the fact that I am a hack writer with unremarkable taste and a totally unoriginal styleis incredibly cool and handy for giving all my VTT tokens and character sheets a bit of TLC.Whatever I can find. Midjourney until I couldn't get it for free anymore. I'm using the native Bing creater ATM, because it seems to be the best of the free services.
I really believe art is supposed to be enjoyed by everyone but not like this. I think in a socialist society most people would have time to get good at art if they so chose. But until then, this will have to do and if it results in people not being able to work as artists then maybe it'll get them to do something.
AI art should have strict regulations that it can only be done for really silly reasons. I can allow that. Spur of the moment 'what would happen if I told an AI to do this?' stuff kinda slaps hard. We need a law that prevents people from taking certain things seriously.
