This must have been a rare accident because the oppression was not applied evenly from all sides (not enough oppression, Xi should def look into this), leading to explosion. Done right, the procedure turns oppressed carbon life into a perfect 💎. That's Xi's real agenda, to turn 1.4 billion people (minus one, wink wink) into a giant pile of diamonds higher than the Shanghai Tower so he can swim in it like Scrudge McDuck, maybe his nephews too but that's classified.
