This needs to be discussed.
The best part of that show is when he kills a removed with a shovel.
Watch some theory since you can't read: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vg3y6AAK-BM
Unethical obviously.
Also how do you feel about pumpkins now that Halloween is over?
Oh fuck you're a racist candy? It all makes sense now...
Unethical obviously.
but if they feel genuine happiness from it... :agony-minion:
Programming them that way to begin with is wrong. Wanting a slave is wrong. We should not promote slavery as desirable in a healthy society.
Reprogram them to feel euphoria from drinking pumpkin spice instead :stalin-garrison:
speaking of which, these emoji are pro-slavery:
:minion-steve: :agony-minion: :minionize:
I mean, you could reframe designing cows that want to be eaten. By the point of the "genuine happiness", the unethical part has happened and has poisoned everything down the chain.
This isn't about that, this is about the creating said person deliberately (in the hypothetical). If you just had a person like this in the wild, and they followed you around and did stuff for you, that'd be fine (though we'd probably have to talk about labour and emancipation on this communist forum). That being said, plenty of abused people "fawn" over their abusers, so from the outside it would probably raise some eyebrows. One could also talk about cults effectively doing this (finding vulnerable people and making them want to do free labour for the cult leaders), and the ethics of that, to take a real world example.

that would be fine? you think slavery is fine?
Obviously not. We're talking about them voluntarily doing this, in circumstances where they weren't created in a lab, groomed, or otherwise manipulated into doing stuff.
Damn I loved El Kabong as a kid but we got fukken wreckers coming in here and screwing up all the good usernames smdh my dick head.
before y'all complicate this hypothetical. I'm saying what if we made a robot that literally could not feel any emotion besides overwhelming joy and only from doing labor for humanity. Is it still ethical to have such a robot as slaves? They are physically incapable of feeling negative emotions from it
You broke both your legs with that leap :michael-laugh:
