Fucked up the AIDS crisis in the 80's, kept his job literally forever and told everyone not to wear masks at the start of the pandemic despite knowing they work.
Also libs decided pretty early on to deify him, because he would occassionally tell Trump that he was wrong, and that people should mask up. Then the conservatives decided that wearing a mask meant being cucked, and so he was sidelined for the rest of 2020. Now he just comes out every couple months to say something dumb about chuds needing to mask up / get vaccinated, and then throw his hands in the air when they say no.
essentially he was appointed as the spokesman for the government response to the pandemic, which sucked ass, so people quite reasonably blame him. his culpability for the AIDs crisis is overstated according to some activists who lived through it.
Defining the narrative on pandemic response to explicitly exclude any discussion of a lockdown. Guaranteeing that the only pandemic response options would be measures that are convenient to capital, even if that meant the response would obviously be completely ineffective.
Not tossing himself down a mineshaft and retaining some honor.
I don't live in America, what's so bad about Dr. Fauci?

Probably more I'm forgetting.
