Like, advanced technology, focusing entirely on intercrew arguments, (terrible dialogue and cheesy action), ships flying sideways, no knowledge of ship operations and procedures. Magic technology. Blasters of different colours so we can tell good guys from bad guys. Robots and drones. Really, that's the big one.

If you hate star trek so much Kurtzman, just make a different show.

I ignored discovery when I heard Klingons had two penises, but apparently the problem with Picard is that apparently it reacted too hard to our era of post 911 pessimism. If you wanted to make shit sad and were too cowardly to completely focus on the effects of the last war, you should have just made a series about the eugenics wars or something

That making Patrick Stewart do this show is Elder Abuse.

They wanted to do a smash cut of DS9 and Voyager, where you had these complex and emotionally weighty socio-political issues mashed in with horniness and laser fights. They wanted a smattering of cameos from the old cast while still introducing cool new young people who could inherit the franchise. And they wanted to use the cinematography from the J.J.Abrams reboot, because everyone knows the quality of a show is directly proportional to the number of lens flares.

It wasn't a terrible show on its face. But its frustrating as hell when The Orville is a better Star Trek reboot than the CBS-produced line.

I only watched clips, I feel like they should have kept the Android and Romulan issues as two separate seasons. Also come on it’s Patrick Stewart, he wants to act until he dies.
