We had a server but it’s been down for a while. With the new update I’m looking to play again, if I were to start up a server would anyone be interested?

Eh, I wouldn’t recommend running it from just your personal PC. Opsec and all. I was gonna get one from a hosting service, which shouldn’t show any revealing info

I don’t know why you would, but I don’t know much about Minecraft servers, I wanted to gauge interest before I started looking too deep into it. I don’t think there’s anything about a Minecraft server that would require a vpn.
Speaking of opsec, with Minecraft accounts increasingly being combined into Gamertags/MS Accounts, does this mean you shouldn't play on any eventual server with your 15+ year old account? Can you use an alias?
It shouldn’t matter unless you’re worried about like, the federal government tracking you down by your Minecraft name. Java Minecraft still shows your normal Minecraft name, and there’s no way to find a gamer tag with that I don’t think

Yes, the old one was really good when it was up. I was disappointed when I found out it went down because I didn't get to play on it as much as I wanted and I never got to try the modded one with the trains.
