I've been watching back through shameless because I've been quarantined for a month, and watching the last few seasons of that show is like whiplash. They start with one of the characters forming essentially a paramilitary org that uses organized violence to protect gay and trans youth, then literally one season later they did revisionism and instead of beating the literal Nazis with bats and chains, they stand in a circle and sing kumbayah and pray to Jesus until they leave.
