    "The sirens are just a warning". Yes, a warning that there's a fucking tornado coming right now! They don't turn them on just because it's bad whether. They turn them on when the tornado is here!

      Tornado watch: conditions which might lead to a tornado are present.

      Tornado warning: there is actively a tornado.

      It's like they expected it to just be a watch, when they should know full well that it's an active tornado.

        Yes, and they've gotten a lot better at issuing warnings now than 20 years ago, so when those sirens go off or your phone says "Warning" it means it's coming, not just that there's one in your county.
