    I have basically the same coat except it was originally wider, but what I did was only taken it in ABOVE THE WAIST, you want the lower section to billow a bit or this happens to you when you wear all black. I did it myself by hand, no sewing machine and it looks great. He for sure had a professional tailor and this is the result. I look like a bloodborne PC and he looks like 3 kids sneaking into an R rated movie. I'm like at least 50 years younger too, but still.

      I thought the point of these big overcoats was to cover you up? Did you have to remove a lot of material from yours?

        I found mine in a giveaway box on the side of the road and all that was wrong was it was missing a button, I like a bit of a tight fit, I didn't remove any material, I just cut a slit under each armpit down to the bottom and then sewed them back together a bit tighter, cinched it at the waist and let it out below after. I just left a thicker bit under the arms, so if anything it's warmer. This kind of cost is still generally more cone or bell than cylinder shaped when worn, it's a really odd fit.
