My only sense of generation X is, like, 90's tv commercials shouting "GEN X" and showing skateboard tricks
The grunge crowd was just less visibly pleasant hippies whose politics went equally right wing around the same age
The only Gen xers I know who listened to RATM and didn't become reactionaries are also in unions.

"In a world where the kids thought Boomers were bad......
on screen character appears with palo santo sticks and healing crystals 'They ain't seen shit yet'
This summer. Shots of Wall Street suits beating up homeless people America. Violent racial imagery Says. On screen Karens abusing Girl Scouts and fast food cashiers Fuck the world.
Staind song blasting full volume Even harder."
Can confirm, the 40-60 crowd is infinitely worse than the 65+ crowd. At least the boomers near me generally believe COVID is actually real.
For sure. We give Boomers a hard time but it always feels like whenever we see a vid of a supposed Boomer wilding out, it's actually a GenXer. Boomers as a generation were infinitely more dynamic, confused, and yet, relatable than GenX. GenX straight up skipped the hippie, antiwar stage and spent their entire lives being rabid anti-communist, consumerist pigs.
a generation that branded itself in being aloof and uncaring shouldn't suddenly stop after reaching their 50s
Gather round and listen to the wisdom of the generation that thinks "rebellion" is when your mom doesn't like your music.
Boomers set the bar so low that not being afraid of opinions was a step up apparently?
🙂 "Welcome to dealing with Gen X."
😎 "We are now the status quo."
I'm GenX and I hate almost everyone my own age. All my friends are millennials with even a couple older GenZ folks thrown in.
again i say to you generational analysis is a mind virus.
but i do think it's very funny that we're going to continue calling people boomers long after the babies of the boom have died off.
Boomer is a mindset that will exist for a long time after they've finally died off
At the risk of bringing the argument here, yeah it's incredibly pretentious and his head is three miles up his ass. I still liked it though.
