I saw them and I enjoyed them. They were about as good as could be expected from an American production. They could have sold the need for the revolution a bit more.
That's true, they didn't really get into that. You kinda see it with the illiteracy and the fact that people had never seen a doctor in their life but it was just like subtle hints.
Which I thought was a real missed opportunity because the scenes depicting the revolution didn't feel as righteous as they should have, it felt more like a dry retelling of events.
