My cousins thought going shopping for deals the day after Xmas was worth it. Two old people in ICU and three of my cousins sick with covid, so far. No one wears masks and only my uncle is vaxxed. They got a 70" Sony OLED TV for $2400 though. Totally worth it putting both of their parents, my aunt and uncle in the hospital.
My vaxxed grandma got delta, spent a month or so in the ICU and on a ventilator, recovered somewhat and then died. My stepdad's family is full of antivaxxer chud boomers and they were dropping like flies this fall, but I don't know most of the details. The rest of us have been very lucky so far, especially considering how many of my cousins are either retail workers, teachers, nurses, or doctors.
