Like that’s just how late stage capitalism works ya dummy. Of course the government is gonna protect corporations if they get kickback from it. American libertarians act like this is some kind of authoritarian regulatory bullshit when in reality it’s just a logical extension of unfettered capitalism.

and unfettered capitalism is just the same as capitalism because the bourgeois will inevitably use their class dictatorship to gradually remove any fetters

This is a problem with any sort of system that runs into a contradiction between its image as fundamentally just and moral and actual, practical outcomes of those exploiting the ideology for personal gain. You make it about the moral character of the individual members of the hegemonic class within the ideology, not the logical outcomes of the ideology. This happened all the time with feudalism (think Robin Hood). The libertarian version just updates piety in the eyes of God to ideological adherence to free market competition.

It's just capitalist apologism by way of a "no true scotsman". "No all the obvious horrible consequences of capitalism aren't intended", "that's the bad capitalism", "it's because they aren't doing it right", "the gooberment is messing it up". etc. etc.

Any meaningful analysis of the inner workings of capitalism and the material conditions it generates quickly reveals all of this to be a direct inevitable consequence of the capitalist system.

But the Chuds and their more centrist allies always move the goal post.

I have a bunch of money and I can control people with it. --- This is crony capitalism...if we were trading cornsilk or unicorn wishes instead, you'd still have the very human elements of nepotism to deal with.
