Happy Sunday, comrades!

This thread is a space for you to talk about anything cool you've got going on, anything you want to vent about, or whatever is on your mind. Hope you've all been doing well!

For my own part, been inside trying to stay warm the last 2 weeks or so. Tried to go on a few dates, but either my mental health stopped me, or the person and I just kinda stopped talking. Didn't really feel much like leaving the couch. Today, however, I'm getting stuff done, and them going to stay a few days with my primary partner.

Had a job interview on Friday that I'm actually kind of excited about (aside from the 'hey you need income' thing) - it's a position that would see me working with nonprofits in a consulting capacity that I will not explain here at the moment. We'll just say its a tech role, with salary comparable to my last job that I got let go from, which is a good thing. Also doing my taxes now and that'll be a big help with stuff.

Beyond that, finished Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and loved it. Anyone know where to get an English version of Steel Ball Run?

Hope you've all been doing well, and remember, you are loved Care-Comrade

Just spent the last night cuddling with a cutie ace non binary comrade. Been a nice week overall.

Picking up a couple more shifts at work. Not sure whether I want to get a new day job just yet.

Been handing out some of the homemade kombucha that I started making, people love it so far. Some of it was at a potluck my friends hosted.

The bigger projects are dragging along slowly, but I'm making steps on getting organized. Closer to being up-to-date on paperwork than any time in the past 4 years.

How the heck do you get your booch to carbonate? Mine was always nice and tart but could never get it to fizz.

I'm still experimenting a lot. My first 2 batches ever were really fizzy, but they were in smaller containers.

I think it might have to do with whether the scoby seals to the edge of the jar. I could be wrong though.

What kind of water do you use? That's another thing I've sort of always wondered because I'm a trash human and just used tap water.

I also use tap water; maybe I'll try bottled or filtered or distilled at some point.

the triple whammy of cold/flu, constipation and dehydration really put me on my ass. completely obliterating my weekend. maybe I'll call out from work this week just to regain some sanity

I did meet a new comrade helping out a local homeless camp last week tho that was cool

The place I was hoping to find housing in totally dropped the ball, and I can't even actually afford a full-time semester even if I wanted to. Fuck.

First thing tomorrow I'm going to try to apply to a local community college so I can take some courses. I fucking hate being broke, but I cannot afford to be a manchild either. Shit sucks.

I'm a week in in my CCNA cert attempt. I remembered real fast that I've always hated juxtaposition between learning all the cool info and having to regergurgitage answers on the quiz flash cards that probably doesn't really matter. But you have to answer them all to pass.

I made the mistake of picking up Victoria 3 a few days ago and a comrade friend of mine are gonna try and figure out the systems and such. If anyone has good tutorials that aren't the 2 hour guide one, I'd love it if you could share. I'm still gonna work through the 2 hour one but just feel overwhelmed after working a bit through the in-game one.

Gonna try and finish Trans Liberation this week but not sure what I'm gonna read next. I have a few lined up but it's just a matter of picking.

I have an interview tomorrow for a job I'm overqualified for but it's cool since it's computer hardware and software config stuff and I like doing that. I'm hoping it doesn't go great so I can focus on the CCNA stuff lol.

Other than that we got a chill week ahead.

Making potato soup tonight and Next Milk got canceled so gonna try coconut milk instead.
