Getting rid of a feature while claiming it's for the trans community is certainly... a choice. Feels like if Microsoft deleted friends lists on Xbox Live and pointed everyone to the trans community: "Don't worry, we did it for them!"
I'm not saying don't get rid of it, just, uh, don't point us out?
Seems like a pretty good step forward as long as the mod is appropriately reprimanded/fired as well.
There was an interesting talk done by Raph Koster (Ultima Online, Star Wars Galaxies, etc.) a few years back on how social communities in games basically requires recording every last bit of interactions and heavy moderation to nip things in the bud, which I'm sure the admins and mods here at hexbear can relate to.

My friend admined an IRC server for music bands and downloading music back in the day.
If they were not on there 24/7 it became a den of child porn. That was 20 years ago.
Raph Koster is one of my favorite game designers. His talks are excellent
Still don't trust them. They let people get away with a lot of transphobia, homophobia, and racism in their discord.
The better solution would be to ban video games and send gamers to the gulag
Well, normally all you'd get is an apology jpeg, so at least this is better than that.
I can't imagine playing board games with randoms, so IMO this is a good thing, but I know they'll be some people who will be upset for good reason.
Isn't Berserk Games still just like, two people? I have a lot of goodwill towards them for being really responsive to the community in regards to the game's development and would be really bummed if they were really dragging their feet telling nazis to fuck off the platform.
