Yo imagine if like there was a place where you could just get free books for no other reason than it's good to spread knowledge. Then imagine that the internet happened and everyone still thought that was possible.

Where the hell do I get free audiobooks? I pay way too much for aufible. Help me out, guys

    http://audiobookbay.nl is what I use.

    https://libgen.is for regular books.

Libraries often have audiobooks! You can check them out from an app, too.

I think public libraries also have some audio books. Probably not the ones anyone is interested in. Like for example here's audio books available for Seattle Public Libraries: https://spl.overdrive.com/search?sortBy=newlyadded&mediaTypes=audiobook

Their audiobooks site is pretty good too in my experience, though I don't think there's a ton of free ones. Not having subscriptions and not supporting Amazon is nice though

      Edit: it's called chirp (chirpbooks)

MyAnonamouse is my go-to private tracker for ebooks and audiobooks, they're super wholesome

True. I should use the library. I forgot to return a book like 10 years ago and they cancelled my card. I can probably get one again if the American citizenry will forgive me
