That's a vibe dawg. I find dilapidated towns and areas in cities absolutely fascinating. So much history just looking at old and broken down storefronts that still have signage from decades past. Also tend to be in the most poverty ridden and dangerous areas in inner cities. But people are willing to talk to you about the history of a specific store or house.

smaller cities in the exurbs/rural areas are also interesting in that regard. So much infrastructure from this country's manufacturing past that is just standing and rusting away. It's haunting sometimes.

Sometimes I just take a trip out to some random city or town near the city I live in. People ask me why I go to boring places. It's like man, I'm just trying to soak up the past and present of all these little communities. So many people don't even visit parts of their own city, afraid that the big bad minorities are hiding in every corner, ready to pounce.

By me i got all these interconnected nature paths that have tunnels under roads so you can continuously walk a pretty long time without having to cross a street. A lot of them lead to various mixed use development. Gives a "walkability" to an area that otherwise lacks it, while also enjoying some trees.

        opsec.

if it makes you feel better, its a relatively tiny oasis in a sea of the worst the country has to offer.

Big fan of cable cars. Just zip me around the neighborhood and every now and then ding the bell.
