    The only reason he was able to get those things done is because those things all have powerful interests behind them. Like for the Iraq war for example the NYT was putting out articles drumming up war and anyone coming out against it was lambasted as unpatriotic (see the Dixie chicks getting cancelled). The hard part is getting things done that are popular but don't have powerful interests behind them or even have powerful interests against them like M4A. Like imagine if the NYT started publishing more opinion pieces on how M4A would save lives and be cheaper to employers. Then imagine one of the Koch think tanks did a research study backing the numbers showing it would create X number of jobs. Then Vox or WSJ or something published an article about how M4A would keep the US ahead in crucial biotech against China. Then Tucker Carlson or whatever started saying we need M4A but Hillary or whatever doesn't want you to have it. Then it'd be easy to get M4A "done".
