He was elected to get one thing done: not be Donald Trump. He's already fulfilled that promise so that's a 100% success rate for his presidency.
What's the opposite of "dammit neera you got me again" lol, that's a perfect assessment
Liberals never wanted an undoing of Trump's work. That would be doing something material which is not really their thing. They just wanted the orange Cheeto man out of the White House.
Almost no liberal understands that Obama and Hillary (and now Biden) created the circumstances that made Trump possible. There's nothing to learn. Trying to understand the reasons why rightwingers come to power and admitting there was a logic to their ascent is seen as endorsing the rightwingers.
remember when people pretended like his website saying something meant he definitely intended on doing that thing?
It was the most progressive platform!!! Not the one Biden decided to go with though...
I remember my mom telling me Biden was going to ban fracking. When I reminded her that there was record oil and gas extraction when he was vice president she said something like "he isn't like that anymore."
Being President is tough. We should all pat him on the back. How was he to know that getting an agenda through in Washington would be tough. How could former Vice President and a senator for 30 years have any idea about the challenges of working in the US government!?
Still can’t believe he claimed that’s why they can’t fucking pass voting rights.
Remember when Trump was so scary with executive orders and he was going to destroy the country with them?
I wonder how Biden is doing with that.
Biden is undead and vampire-like, and only lives by sucking the living, and lives the more, the more he sucks
man that nevada primary night was fuckin prime. we were like 'yeeeeaahhhh boi'
Sometimes I lie awake and night and wonder if it was better to have experienced that moment of hope or not.
I felt like shit for a while after ST, and it lingered so long that I even convinced myself to vote for Brandon. I now believe it was a good thing to experience. I always had my suspicions about the DNC, federal government, and media as a whole, but they made sure to let us know who ran things at the end of the day.
Now we have proof to not waste our limited resources fighting an impossible battle for positions in a government who's entire point of existing is to protect capital. Local Direct Action was always our best option, I was just too blinded by corporate media to see it for an embarrassingly long amount of time.
The only reason he was able to get those things done is because those things all have powerful interests behind them. Like for the Iraq war for example the NYT was putting out articles drumming up war and anyone coming out against it was lambasted as unpatriotic (see the Dixie chicks getting cancelled). The hard part is getting things done that are popular but don't have powerful interests behind them or even have powerful interests against them like M4A. Like imagine if the NYT started publishing more opinion pieces on how M4A would save lives and be cheaper to employers. Then imagine one of the Koch think tanks did a research study backing the numbers showing it would create X number of jobs. Then Vox or WSJ or something published an article about how M4A would keep the US ahead in crucial biotech against China. Then Tucker Carlson or whatever started saying we need M4A but Hillary or whatever doesn't want you to have it. Then it'd be easy to get M4A "done".

Only things that Hillary and Biden "got done" were bad things. If you look at their bipartisan "achievements", it was all stuff like the Iraq war, NAFTA, bankruptcy bill, a wall on the southern border, deregulation, welfare reform, crime bill, Patriot Act etc.
-
Biden didn't want to get anything done in the first place, his "platform" in the Dem primaries was just so that libs were able to point to something and say "Biden has plans as well" and then - even crazier, they said "the fact that Biden's plans are worse means they are more realistic AND more achievable". And this was repeated in the MSM all the time as if it was an universal truth
-
Even assuming that Biden wanted to get something good done, what happened in reality is worse than the worst-case scenario of the Sanders presidency. Where he isn't able to decrease the military budget (Biden increased it) and would have to rely on executive orders and enforcing already existing laws in order to do good things - something that Biden refuses to do. So even a worst-case scenario for a Bernie presidency is better than the Biden reality.

The only reason I'd wanna try pushing him left is if there were a very steep drop.
Really we using terms like "corporate lobbyist" in a communist subreddit? Biden is a member of the capitalist class, and he rules in the interest of the capitalist class. "Lobbying' is a something radlibs complain about instead of getting to the root of the matter.
Imagine being so braindead you can't recognize simple basic communist principles
I'm just saying he lacks any political self-preservation instincts. Previous democrats would throw us a bone here and there, Biden is doing absolutely nothing. Not even on an executive level.
You think Biden will die or suffer even the tiniest bit if he doesn't get reelected? Just admit that you want your masters to throw you a bone, that's how pathetic you are.
